*You will notice lye as an ingredient.  All cold pressed soaps require the use of lye in order to be made into soap, but no lye remains in the finished product. Once the soapmaking process is complete, called saponification, the lye and oil molecules have combined and chemically transformed into  Through the natural chemical process when making soap, lye and the fats/oils are converted into soap and glycerin.  No lye remains in the finished bar.
